Advice needed on base model and build for designated track car. Is a 2016GT ok?

I think the only real point to consider, is do you want a gen2 or a gen3 engine. My Boss took a lot of work to get to over 500rwhp. But the gen3 cars in the shop get to the same numbers with just the basics like e85, headers etc (and tune!)

Re-read your original post. for US$6500 the repairable GT choice would be by far the top option!! All that free cash would make a fast car, but putting a LS into it would offend the gods.
