Damn…that looks fantastic. My dad went to Japan for 6 months when I was like 10 years old. We were just plain country folks back then. I remember him coming back and talking about how good the food was. To this day he will tell you, it’s not the same here. It’s just that much better there. I suppose it’s that way with most international cuisines.

I think that probably holds true for Japan more the most other countries. Quality of ingredients is very important to them... Even KFC tastes better.

The garden tomatoes are really starting to come in now around here.......it's grilled cheese with sliced tomato (don't forget the oregano) and BLTs til further notice.

If I eat one more Tomato sandwich... .....I've taken to slicing , bagging and freezing them now for soup a sauce later. The garden has gone crazy this year ! I can't keep up with them .

For some reason, our neighbors didn't produce as much this year. I told my wife, we are going to do our own next year. Two plants should suffice. Will do some jalapeño's as well.

I'm a big fan of Hot Dog Tacos. Get rid of the fatty stuff and replace with a good hot dog (Hebrew National is my grocery store pick), onions and Chili. No, not that kind of chili, I typically use ground beef chili and skip the beans. I prefer a soft shell but either will work.

Hey, It's Labor Day Weekend...Summer's unofficial last hurrah, sad to say. A lot of Pro and Amateur connoisseurs will be firing up those grills this weekend....I may be one of them ( I'm in the amateur group).

What charcoal do you use? If you haven’t tried B&B, I highly recommend it. Sports Authority and Home Depot stock it around here.

Dam, those look good!

Needed some soul food as the families still away. Chinese BBQ pork, farm eggs and ramen. Pork was easier to make then I though so its a new go to food.
