Chasing random misfire - seeking Ford Performance engine harness

Sorry I missed this. Yes, new harness fixed everything, old one had chafed through and 3 wires were shorting out. More detail:

@stevbd, it looks like I may be in the same boat as you were. I may have some wire harness damage. Wanted to ask you a couple of questions about this harness. Are you using a Boss or CJ manifold? Or is this harness configured for the GT manifold? On LMR, they say that the harness they have doesn't come with the knock sensor pigtail. Did DU5Z-12A581-W come with it? Or did you just swipe it from the old harness? Does your car have the cluster with the oil level gauge in it? If you do that may be different from the Boss as we don't have that in our cluster. Any other quirks about this harness?

I have a 2011 with stock intake manifold. As mentioned, no knock sensor pigtail. My car has a stock oil pressure “gauge” which is really just an idiot light. On a 2011 you have to either replace the VCT solenoids to fit this harness (what I did) or modify the connectors on the harness. The 2012 VCT solenoids are an upgrade so better to replace. Otherwise this 2012 updated harness was an easy plug and play replacement on my 2011 GT.

Double check this but I believe the 2012-2013 Boss used the same engine harness as the GT cars.

@mwjscn is the man in terms of knowing all the correct parts and part numbers, much appreciated!

I think it may be the same except for the purge solenoid connector which is on the left front of the manifold on the GT, and it's on he right rear of the manifold on the Boss. I believe the 2012 Boss cars have the same oil pressure sensors that you have.

Thanks for the help guys. It looks like my harness got smashed between the engine and transmission during my clutch swap. Not sure how bad the damage is yet so decision will depend. Either way if I go the new harness route I play to duplicate what @stevbd did here.
