In guessing 5-50 is but the 10-50 race oil maybe not. That’s for euro exotics and such should be fine wait for the confirmation but the website is pretty informative

The HP-X yes. It is made also for catalytic converters
I've been running 5W-30 in mine so far but have been following Ford's recommendation an oil change after 4 hours of track time. With something around 12 hours of track use on the car and around 6k miles total, it's been fine so far. The oil comes out looking used, but not looking that bad. The track notes for the car don't say to change the using 5W-50, but since a thicker oil would likely hurt the fuel economy numbers to some degree, that probably ties their hands, but if you buy the Ford Performance Supercharger it then says to switch to 5W-50.
Looking at the DH-R manual recently I did note that it specified 5W-50, and that has me thinking that I may switch to that next change. My question is whether they did anything different engine wise, or if it really is the same as a standard Dark Horse engine.
And, should go without saying, full synthetic regardless.

May I refer all to watch Lake Speed jr. Oil guy. Tribologist. Developed racing oil while he was employed with Driven. More information on all oils than you care to know about and R&D with dyno results 1000 of hours of development.

I am intrigued with Driven oil formerly Joe Gibbs Racing
That is the main reason why im getting involved with this. I would love to become with speeditaliaracing.com mystang community reference for GOOD proven oil.
I recently switched from Motul 300v 5w-40 to Driven 5w-40 as it was more cost effective. Driven seemed to run cooler as my CHT temps were not as high during 20-25 minute HPDE sessions. I have also tried Penn Ultra Platinum 5w-50 and while it seemed to last longer, the CHT was higher (last year). I would be interested in seeing a comparison between the Motul 300v and the Driven equivalent 5w-40/50. My car is a “dual duty” ‘21 PP1 no power-adders, just suspension and tires. Have a Mishimoto radiator going on this week and ordering their oil cooler soon based on the CHT I was seeing yesterday.
