Sorry I missed this thread. You will be fine on RE71's and will want at least 3.5 camber. Photo is my car with 295's and 4.1 static camber. Seemed to be decently competitive at Nat's.

I started with a C2 customs one which is really too small. I used it to template a larger one out of plywood. It's good enough to be certified 100% illegal by @Terry Fair :) But since I did that, 9 lives released their kit which is a good deal and that's what I would do if I did it again. Keep on top of him for communication though - multiple month wait times and ghosting emails can happen with them. And Cortex, but I digress....

Sorry to say I am having the same issues with Cortex. Been over 6 weeks since placing (and paying for) order. Promised weeks ago. Multiple calls, two this past week with no response back. Already missed multiple events for the year. Considering calling visa and reporting to get my money back.

My cortex suspension is an absolute work of art. Unfortunately that is the last nice thing I can say about this company.

I finally got the shocks I ordered on september 29 in February. Despite cortex asking me how long I wanted the canister hoses, the ones that came on the shocks are comically short.

I contacted mcs directly about how to fix it at my own expense and found out that mine hadn’t even been ordered until mid January.

Oh and then when I mounted them, they are too short and leave about .75” of droop travel.

I was able to find a workaround for the short hoses and i re engineered the upper shock mounts to get the droop back in range. Neither a huge issue but I did spend $14k on the suspension and shocks so it seems like they could have done the engineering.

Of course I have the cambered axle so if I ever need parts for that, I am married to them or I will have to throw that $10k in the garbage. They will probably cut me off after reading stuff like this anyway.

Bottom line if you can get your money back I would do so and find any other company to purchase from. Personally I have made no better improvement to my car with a single part than when I put MCS on the car. And they are a dream to work with.

UPDATE: Suspension arrived today!!! Looks gorgeous so ready to start installing! Several good calls with Cortex last few weeks got lots of advice and actual updates. Guys seem great just a little more transparency when ordering would relieve the stress. Will post some updates hope to wrap up over the weekend but working part of day tomorrow.

Rear suspension is on and torqued! Taking a short break and may start the front this evening. Either way should wrap the install up tomorrow and on to setup!

Ride height and alignment done! Went for a few test drives today and made a few tweaks. First event with new setup this Saturday will see how she does!

Is this at ride height? Doesn't look like there's much bump travel left....

😎. No sorry for the confusion. That wa me during initial install. Actual ride height setting were quite a bit higher (3/4 to 7/8”). Good catch though Car is strong 4” front and 4 1/8 rear when measured from bottom of k member on each side and lca mounts

First thing I look at when I see shocks.... "How much bump you got left"? lol.

For event was an overall success!! Car handles much better. Turn in is way better with tons of front end grip. Had a fair amount of oversteer so still some setup work to be done. Anyone in Alabama area who is a suspension genius who wants to offer guidance let me know!

Which hole is the watts link in?

If top hole is 1 and bottom is 4 then I was in number 2. I was going to move it down 3. Thoughts?
Exactly, second hole up will tighten the car up.
(I always refer to the bottom hole as 1 and the top hole as 4)

Is that the facility at Barber? Haven't been before but looks like a great place for an autocross course. I would love to make it over but that would probably have to be a pump gas trip as I don't think there's enough E85 along the way to drive the car over and back without a trailer.
Yes it is Barber, we run on the proving ground and it is an awesome track! You should come at some point. Where are you coming from? I can let you know some places to get e85 I have some friends that run it. By the way love your car!
