I think my experience with the swap is in my build thread. I used a Shaft Masters aluminum drive shaft and set the gear ratios in the pcm using HP Tuners (no converter boxes). Everything works including cruise control.

I would just mention that the other option is a Calimer Stage 3 Mt82 with the 26 spline. I would say that its about on par with the tremec but has a higher rating, on paper at least. A little lighter and cheaper then a XL swap (you keep your driveshaft etc). Rebuilding a MT82 with regular parts is a waste of time unless your are never going to the track again... With out proper internals they are doomed to fail again and again.... The stage3 is all forged gears with the bells and whistles like carbon syncros etc.
