I agree 100% there like 42 real fr500c 8 or 9 boss R and probably 100+ boss S and fr500s
Would love to see them all together. But just not on track with dhR at same time. Only thing I do in my fr500c is slow a dark horse R down or worse be a obstacle for impact.

Well staggered start for the fields are planned so less early interaction of the cars. Qualifying usually keeps the field sorted by inherent pace as well. Plenty of cars out there but the ones that race are participating at a lower cost/lap generally. This due mainly to the proposed tire/fuel cost impacts. We lobbied for a lower cost/longer life spec Yokohama for the classics, and 93 Octane Sunoco spec as well. Those two items would have significant impact and would definitely improve car counts. We shall see.

It seems to me like the owners of these older race cars who would have enough money to run the series are likely the types who are keeping the cars in heated and air-conditioned storage until they can make money on them at Barret-Jackson.

If the organizer wants these cars on track, they need to make the cost per weekend / season low enough for the owners who don't mind adding another ding or two to participate. Which means equivalent to the other series where these owners are currently running. Just my humble opinion.

Most of these cars were sold off and are in private hands like mine. I do know of few in closed team owners shop.
Few in large car collections. Used at vintage events.
Problem is fr500c parts are unobtainable or $$$$$.
Boss is even hard. But available. Same for fr500s20251112_151933.jpg

I was reading the info. It may still cost quite a bit per race. They said you could save $1000 per race for the 1st 15 signups. You have to turn in an application to get approved and find out the costs. I just bought an fr500s #31 this year.
Just now read your post. I agree that FR500Ss will have a disadvantage on HP. I see you bought Mike Stillwagon's old car! I'd love to hear more.
