Not a Boss, but she's no "one trick pony" either.

She goes to Shows:

All in all I have a pretty good time with her...even if she is an old obsolete 3V.
Truth is, I'm a little old and obsolete too. :eek:

Did you attend a Snakes at the Lake event? If so we've met. Welcome to TMO!
Yes I did, I made the video for it....but it's been years ago.

A few pictures from the SCMC Winterfest in February. Voodoo Child 21 and myself had a great weekend chasing each other.

Great pictures, Steve!
First one is my favorite, it emphasizes the elevation at VIR.

Also, really like those wheels, are they the ones Cortex sells?

@Steve:

You and the Boss look great on the track, nice pics! How is the new Tremic working out for you on the track? Are there any significant gear ratio differences? Do you use 5th gear down the long straight at VIR?

Now that you've had a chance to shake her down, any other mods needed or planned? I really enjoyed meeting you last year and looking over your build, (in progress), at the time. Good thing the Wifie brought her Kindle!

Thanks so much, and good luck this year on the track,
Dave

I really like the Tremec. With the close ratio gear set there is less RPM drop at each shift compared to the MT-82. I do use 5th on the Striaghts at VIR, but it is a .80 overdrive with a 4:56 rear gear.

I will look up and post the 1-6 ratios tomorrow. Basically, the transmission is a close ratio 1-5, and then a big group to a .50 6th gear overdrive that keep the 4:56 rear end highway friendly. I did have to custom order the transmission to get the gearing I wanted.

It is also the best shifting transmission I have ever driven.

I recently bought a Tremec magnum XL. Is that what you have? I'm interested to compare notes if it is....
