I'd be interested in your 9 lives wing if that's also something that is not needed for drifting
ha! Not needed but I love the look too much. Drifting is also about style and the wing delivers!

I had to try, haha. If you ever want to get rid of it, you have an interested buyer here.ha! Not needed but I love the look too much. Drifting is also about style and the wing delivers!
Got Laguna this Saturday so trying to button this thing up. With any luck the aero balance will be biased too much towards the front and I’ll “need” a wing

Do you feel the 9LR wing is sufficient to balance out the splitter + vents? Curious what angle you run it atIt was about 4.5”.

I don't know about coyotes but you could LS swap just about anything. Hell, an LS RX7 would be pretty fun.So I’m looking for some input and perspectives. I’ve been drifting this car for the past few years and have ended up with the same problem there as in track days, the weight of this thing. I LOVE the coyote and it’s the reason I still have the car, but the weight is killing me. Budget wise for consumables and lack of nimble-ness. Is that a word? I don’t have $50k for carbon everything so serious weight reduction is out.
I bought an RX7 which will be my new drift car, so now the S550 is in limbo. I’d love to have a track day car again and I could revert it to that spec, but I know after a couple track days I’ll be annoyed about the weight again.
Thoughts?
Anyone know of a chassis that’s 1k lbs lighter that people are putting coyotes in?
I was thinking a Coyote in an E36 M3 would be fun to drive and would piss off all the right people. So I’m looking for some input and perspectives. Interesting project. Keep us posted! I like that power to weight, should be a pretty sporty unit.Alright guys, car is sold. Was a fun ride and project. I’ve got some spare parts I’ll be posting in the classifieds.
Now onto the next one, a turbo RX7.

It’s rough around the edges but will be pretty fun once I’m done with it. Should be about 2500lbs and ~400whp.
Will check back periodically, great group of track addicts here!
