I have a new never used lap belt/sub belt bracket by 06mach1 in black powder coat finish. allows the use of 5-6 point harnesses providing anchor points for the lap and sub belts on factor Recaro seats. Bolts down using rear seat floor pan bolts Sub belts pass through gap between seat back and bottom and you sit on the straps. Asking $115 shipped

how does it work with 6 points on factory recaros with out cutting a hole in the seat? or do you cut a hole in the seat base?

The sub belts lies on the seat and runs between the seat and back cushions.

Alex you can't cut the Recaros for a variety of reasons not the least of which is cost. I ran sitting on the belts for a year in my 2011 before going to a full race seat, you don't even feel them. The belts pass between the seat back/base joint where the seat reclines. This is actually an approved SCCA method for club racers.

Is it a lack of fixed back? Some manufacturers like cobra make reclining seats with sub belts.

Its possible to do that but why would you want to cut a hole in a perfectly good seat. The Harness runs through the seat and you dont feel the belts while sitting on them. If you cut a hole in your seat you incur the cost of having someone repair what you did. Then you have to to into account what the belts could possibly hit or rub against under the seat, IE, any connectors or fittings.
