If you want to save money, ask @Mad Hatter about his Kooks long tubes. He used to run them. After they burned out, he temporarily installed a set of Chinese ebay headers and said they worked just as well as the Kooks. He's still running them today I think.
That’s going to be next year. Right now I’m not worried about more power. Brakes, tires, maintenance and seat time are priority. But I’ll hit him up when time comes
The kooks headers and mid pipes are $4500 here in Canada! And I’d want to do throttle body and need a tune too.
Throw in axle backs….upwards of $7000!!!
Fun is expensive

With just a Steeda Boss intake, Borla S Type axlebacks, and a custom datalogged AED tune, my 2013 Boss was less than 25whp down on my 2020 GT350R on the same dyno in similar conditions. I cannot imagine wanting or needing much more power, especially at the expense. Not to mention the huge increase in sound. I had set the rev limit at 7900 on the Boss and that's where it made peak power.

You guys are making me remember how awesome that car was - I think I might to get another one and put a GT350 TR3160 Tremec in it!

I’ve only recently got this car. I LOVE it. Ive done two track days so far and doing another HPDE at the end of the month. So at this point I feel no need for more power. This car is so much fun!

They really are some of the most fun cars I've ever driven! I am glad you are enjoying yours!

Just keep in mind these cars were extremely track capable as they sit. The Boss 302R is without a doubt the high water mark for stick axle cars of any make, so don't go screwing things up too much. The gold standard is the Phoenix Performance PWC Boss. that is still winning races to this day.

The reason I’ve asked, is because unbeknownst to me my car was previously lowered. Couple weeks ago when I had everything apart, inspecting my brakes and rotating tires making sure everything was safe and fit for track duties. I noticed that it said.M-5300-T on my front coils so the car came with “T” spring. And I just wanted to compare.
The car seems to handle phenomenally. I’m just not sure what else has been done to if any other suspension components have been changed on it.
Although the last time I was at the track with it, I had an instructor driving around the track and he was blown away at how well it handled he he’s not a Mustang guy at all. He drives BMWs. And he was laughing hysterically and blown away at how awesome this car was. Later on, I mentioned to him that the car was lowered and he said by the way it handled he has no concerns. And I don’t wanna go messing with anything else like I’m far from being able to outdrive this car as it is. Just wanna throw some new rims and tires on it and call it good. Got some Apex wheels and Hancook RS4’s on order
