hey, there is me for one of the 4 laps i got in that weekend.. lol

I hung back in 11 because I am pretty sure the shelby club has black flagged me in previous events for passing under that same cirumstance..

Man that was an open passing turn, but they would get confused as to what group was out there. I got black flagged for passing in T7. I had to show the people on their own map that T7 was open passing in my group. Those guys at SAAC are a cluster Feuk. Most likely my last time with them unless another big group of friends convince me again. Parking at burning man was quicker than parking at this event. (Rant over)

Oh really? I was not even aware of that .. My bad! I thought it was only in straight aways . I really only went out there because it was the 50th and my dad and someother family came down for the event.

There are much better groups for us to run in though if we want good laps...

Those older Shelbys and Cobras are just like the men that drive them. Older, temperamental, and tend to leak. HAHA

There were a few OH ShXt moments when I wasn't aware oil was on the track.

Another shocking day at the island, cold and windy and i was getting sick. Still managed a PB, but drove atrociously. Which means the car is heading in the right direction. Now just have to track down the driveline vibration, bonnet looked like it wanted to leave the car and could feel it through the chassis. Went out for the second session and followed the safety car back in on the out lap, vibration seemed to be worse and coming in earlier, no point destroying something.
Thought it may be the one piece drive shaft, or clutch, i did a bit of a free rev when it didn't go into gear before turn 1. It still has the stock clutch, the Exedy is still in the garage waiting. Then one of my friends reminded me of my massive air time over one curb earlier this year, i moved the wheels around on the car so it would have been on the back this time and may be the cause, possible flattened rim. Whole lot of things to look at when i get rid of the cold i picked up before the event.
It does at least sound good in the video, scared the guy in a very quick Honda when i went full noise beside him.

My first ever track day at Dominion, had an absolute blast and can’t wait to go to the track again, I’ll be going to an HPDE at NCCAR next month.

And my first ever track sprint session at Pocono, again an absolute blast.

I am seeing tons of room for improvement so really looking forward to working on a few things

Thanks for the post, videos of Dominion Raceway have not been listed often and it looks pretty interesting. It looks like you where moving pretty good out there and practice and seat time is the best mod you can make.
