yes. but by that time, my car had no carpet, no radio, I left my Cobra suzuka seats in the car full-time...so there were alreasdy many concessions to NVH.
I was using semi-solid mounts...not full solid...but at a stop light, for instance, you didn't want to look in the rear view mirror too long or it was make you feel like you were sitting through an earthquake.
It was a boxster - engine / tranny combo is backwards from the mustang - so all the guys doing harder-core track / dd setups used stock engine mounts and semi-solid tranny mounts...the tranny is more removed from the driver in the boxster - so keeping the stock engine mount (but making sure you had a fresh one...because they wear out in those cars) and going more solid on the tranny was the way to go. as I said, the surprising benefit was was how much you could feel the car in any weight transition event...particularly laterally....just so much more direct feeling.
