Re: What did you do to your boss today?

Those are GT BBP wheels. I like them a lot, too bad Ford never made a 10" wide version.

Today I plan to:

Install rear springs
Change Trans fluid (Redline MTL)
Install Strano adjustable front bar
Install MM Bumpsteer Kit

OK I got all of this done save for the trans fluid change--whoever filled it last at the dealer when I was in for warranty work tightened the crap out of the drain so I'll let them deal with that at a later date.

Also I did an unexpected oil change as I couldn't get the front swaybar changed without disconnecting the oil cooler lines. :-/

+1. More detail on the wheels please. Are the same front and rear?
So you guys don't believe me? ::)

They are 19x9 and can be found as take offs from 2011+ GT's with the BBP. Typically go for $600-$800. Here's the same wheel in black.

I believe you Rick. ;D I like the black ones from FRPP. I also like the stock ones - they are easy to clean. I wanted to buy black ones with all-seasons for DD, but I can't decide if I want to keep the stockers for track wheels or sell them and get some 18" rims for the track.

I figured you'd believe me. ;) I think they're great looking wheels and look even better then the ones on the Ferrari F430 Scuderia they are copied from. :p

Rick
My brother know a company that will cut the rims in half and add an inch to give you 10" wheels.

Funny!!!! I live in Alaska so I feel your pain!

I am just a little south of you. WInter is long and I am not fond of it. The red racer is hungry and needs to feed. Snow and Ice prevents this from happening.

The black is nice but I think I like them in silver better.

If you want a set check SVT Performance or TMS in their classified sections and there's a couple of sets for sale on any given day.

You can have them widened but that makes a heavy wheel even heavier. It would have been better if FRPP had a 10" wheel when they offered them in black. Oh well at least you can get the 302S and SVT PP (like mine) wheels in a 10" wide version.

Here's a members car that they come stock on.

I am just not sure if black looks good since i have a red car with a white hood, white top, white stripes, and white spoiler. I am thinking silver is better but I do like the black as well.

The take offs for sale are silver and they'd look fine on your Boss for the winter.

Just for you from my archives:

I really like the look of these wheels but I hate the fact that they are only 9" wide, and that they only come with a 255 tire. A car with this much power from the factory really should have a wider wheel/tire in my opinion. I have considered getting them widened but for the cost I might as well buy a new set. Also, a local guy to me that built a supersnake clone had some alcoas widened and the wheels ended up not being straight and wobbled really bad. So that didn't make me want to go through the process. The SVT PP wheels, as mentioned, are a good choice and look awesome!

Re: What did you do to your boss today?

I'd be interested in them year-round also.

What are the best tire sizes for these wheels? I'd like something of good quality with decent treadwear that won't break the bank.

I don't suppose one of these with a tire would fit in the spare well - I know it would stick up but would the diameter work?

They only come in 9" widths so they aren't a very good option for a Boss. You cannot run a 285 tire on that wheel. The 302S wheel is a much better option.

I'm interested in something different than stock - I'm just not crazy about the wagon wheel look. I don't want to pay through the nose for replacement wheels.

I'd also like the same size all around if possible so I can rotate and prolong tire life and would like longer life tire options at reasonable prices.

I want the wheels/tires to look good (width), but am willing to sacrifice a little in looks and performance to accomplish the above.

On top of all that, I'd really like to have a spare that will sit in the spare well (sticking up is okay).

Are there any decent options that meet all those criteria?

I agree with this as well. I'm also thinking of putting the same size tires all around.

I run a 285/35/19 on my stock brembo 19x9 wheels. I don't notice a wear pattern to indicate the sidewall rolling over.
