Hello everyone! I have signed up for one of the Road Atlanta track days during the MCA anniversary event at the end of August. For those that might be familiar, I've done the Dark Horse Track Attack on the Roval and am wondering if this track...
Not quite today but Sunday-Installed 3.73 gears, T2 Torsen and 1 piece aluminum driveshaft into my 2014 V6 as well as some regular track prep, new pads, rotor scuff and put 1L of brake fluid through the system!
I will politely disagree not because your logic does not seem reasonable but from 45 years of racing/autocrossing and having some sponsorships from various tire companies over the years. Give me a shorter sidewall, less squirm and frankly I...
Part of the concern for you is that old cats do get plugged and because of the metals used they still go for new prices. You likely will be better off buying new ones though they will be pricey also - tough situation.
The vorshlag plates were HUGE for helping correct this, alignments are now super easy as the caster is fixed and camber is maxed out. Toe is all that needs adjusted which most shops around can do and just set at 0 when camber is maxed! (see full post)

Good to know , I would sure check around as the price of Ford stock cats can vary widely. The danger is buying an old set hoping they flow right and then finding out they are plugged. Usually the old ones are unobtainium anyway as they have... (see full post)
No surprise to many of us and your butt-o-meter may be quite correct as the Continentals were very slow. Many of us who bought them were quite disappointed at how slow they were and I know quite a few who disliked them so much they ended up... (see full post)
When I ran the continental/Hoosier 305/680R18 slicks. The car felt really good. I will admit the car felt a bit better in the corners with Continental Extreme Force Contacts 305/30R18s. I also had new dampers and springs.
To be legal for CSM, I have to have stock cats. Right now the car has some aftermarket cats that are very poorly welded into the OEM piping. (see full post)
