I got the zl1 pads set screw on pinch welds one each corner. Then use floor jack with pinch weld adapter lift in middle of door put 2 jack stands on jack pads. Can go do the other side and car is fully up on stands. Did this at track several... (see full post)
I’m new to the s197 but this thread pointed me to ZL1’s frame rail pads & I’m happy w them so far. I drive my ‘08 up on these $30/pr. 3” high short ramps & can then get my floor jack under the front crossmember & rear diff to lift it onto jackstands. (see full post)
For how long? Why I mean is, how many minutes do you run at a time? Also, are you pushing the car hard?I ask because non of those modifications are for cooling (other than IAT). I would be very surprised (but pleasantly so) to discover... (see full post)
I do. Have done NJMP and Pocono so far. Hitting Watkins Glenn in July, hopefully.Ford is my tuner. Trans tuning is perfect, as far as I can tell.

The guy said they were in a storage unit but in too may ways I don't trust the unknown. I just really will use them for an around town tire for now. At this point I may look for some takeoff with a history. Again no track just out and about...
New guy here- just took my PP2 out to Thunderbolt after a 2 year hiatus from the track. Tbolt has had a repave since I last took my 135i on 200tw and 400whp. They say the new pavement is worth 2 seconds, and that is exactly how much quicker...
Get signed up, it's going to be a lot of fun! I've been on iRacing for many years so I know the track layout very well. Hopefully that will help me get acclimated a little quicker than most. Hope to see you out there!

Inspect heavily, does the rubber appear like they sat outside in the sun for 7 years.
