I get the premise of timing the advance or retard for different power. But, I chose the 127500s for my new rebuild. I believe with the lift and duration numbers, Comp says to use limiter. I thought I read somewhere that the Ford Performance... (see full post)
The Autoblip is one of my favorite modifications on my S197.
I did think about getting the Xineering blip module and they are based a couple of miles away and could have installed it but I decided against it. The need for an android phone or...
When you watch Cayman GT4 and 991GT3s walk away on the ups and downshifts, you can understand the need to put the pride away and use the available tech to compete. All the props for those who can do the "heel/toe dance". But I will say this...
Are they as good as the DarkHorse or DHR? No. But are they good and better than me twisting my right leg and ankle around while braking for Turn 7 at Sebring. Yes very much so. And if you watch the video you see me trick the system in Turn 10...

this echos my experience. To actually make the most power, you need to otpimize all of the pieces...have to get the right cam profile and the right cam timing dialed in with the tune....and that can mean adjusting the came timing a few times... (see full post)
You need to tell us more about your car. For instance, what tires? Do you have adjustable camber plates installed on the front struts?FS, this is for autocross, correct?
I think you will be fine and I usually ran -.5 to -.7 front to rear difference so go that route. You won't be able to get much camber with the stock set up but say you get to -1.5 in the front, a set up of -1.0 would be a good start in my opinion.
Still prefer heel and toe, it is a tango that has your shifter as your dance partner and I always felt learning it well was what helped me keep my transmissions alive. My Mach 1 had a factory blip shift and I never really cared for it. Yes I am...
A note here. The fuel used was methanol since the Indy Car engines back then were running methanol. Also, we did have a few dyno fires early on since there was a dodgy seal between the 9th butterfly housing and the plenum and the leak fell...
At Cosworth we called it Pre Compressor Injection where we had four high flow injectors in a ring at the turbo inlet. The PCI system worked very well to cool the incoming charge air as well as to add additional fuel. It was first used on the...
I ran lockouts in 2021 - car lost a lot of low end power and torque - like 75hp. but the power band was super fun on the road course. Not super fast, tho.FWIW - I run the L&M Engine cams and we didn't see any issues with VCT under any...

Fair points but are the aftermarket modules really as seamless and dialed in as the modern oem auto blip features? I don’t have any personal experience but how do the modules know when you want a big blip versus a small brush of the gas etc? I...

I've been watching this thread with interest as to me it appears to be an American thing to use "artificial" heel/toe addons. I've never known they were even a thing till this forum. My guess was the propensity for automatic transmissions and big...
