Absolutely love where you are going with this.As another who plays with 2d cad all day, 3d design does my head in. I haven't got my brain thinking in the right process path.
Anyway, you wanted feedback. Your initial design looks very similar to... (see full post)
So for the last couple years I've been dreaming of a carbon door solution for the S550 chassis. And I mean a real race car carbon door - with integrated window frame so you can have a removable lexan window and a functional, but finished door...
The race car has all sorts of cooler ducting on the underside which feeds the exhaust and they have about a 1/2" gurney. It can't be smooth. I has to hurt flow to work.I'm not sure about the GTD street car. (see full post)
So for me, it took about 1-2 laps before my (inferred) oil temp was reading 275+. After that I had to keep one eye on the temps and go less than full throttle. Agree with the 10R80, it looks like this will be my next battle. I think an additional... (see full post)
So far I've been keeping everything in class for Tuner in SCCA Time Attack - next year who knows. I'm weighing Gridlife or NASA depending on schedules and what I can make. But definitely agree - unless I tear down to the frame I'm not trying to... (see full post)
Used to write these posts on a Friday, in this case, ordered on a Friday, delivered before lunch on a Tuesday.
From Lethal Performance in Dallas TexasTo Melbourne AustraliaFinally booked the car in to get the L&M intake cams installed with... (see full post)
I use a Motive Products pressure bleeder and two liters of brake fluid. It's a little slow because I don't pump up the pressure too high, maybe 13 psi. I've been thinking about adding a more positive retention clamping thing so I can boost the... (see full post)
Here's a few pictures, I got it installed yesterday. I thought about adding a Gurney flap in front of the vents, and that may be necessary. The pictures don't show it well, but there is a lip just ahead of the vents. Running my hand over it, I... (see full post)
I wonder how, I want to flush the brake/clutch fluid so planning to take to ford as they have the easy hook up to flush and replace in one set up? How do you do it ALL at your garage, I also have a quick jack I use all the time? Thanks (see full post)
No Champale, I hadn't even pondered that. I'll find some reading on it here. But I've been eyeing the Magnum for so long.....and the swap is plug-n-play mostly with a well curated parts list that's been 1000x. Those kinds of solutions usually... (see full post)
Yikes, I guess it's really been 10 months since I've posted here!
For a long time I just haven't been putting in the time, and the longer this goes on, the harder it is to adjust my time and re-focus, but I've made some more progress lately. I... (see full post)
Can you post some pictures? You'll probably want to run some gurneys ahead of the openings to help the extraction. Having the open holes don't mean much if there's nothing to spoil the air going over it. (see full post)
The GT4 is a paddleshift Holinger box, No? That should be a 50 hour box, minimum, if you change the oil between events. The DH is a different story. (see full post)
Ok, on the S650, it looks like both the 7A095B and the 7A095A are routed through a thermostatic valve, in the diagram above 7H322.So, just a guess here, it warms using 7A095B and then switches to cooling with 7A095A or transitions from one to... (see full post)
I have asked before with no good answer except one fellow manufactures an adjustable pushrod like the old Foxs had the acorn nut, he installs a turnbuckle to take up the freeplay, actually lengthening the push rod. I put on Baer 14" Eradispeeds...
I have the opposite problem, only had the Red key, thinking about going to the dealer and getting a new key made and programmed but worried they will screw up the Track Key programming.
My other thought is getting my Red key cloned by a locksmith (see full post)
Serviced transmission and differential lube, flushed brake fluid, rotate tires and removed rear sway bar.
Ran a trackcross event Saturday and an autocross on Sunday. Saturday was fun, lots of gear changes every run, 1st to 4th, mostly 2nd and... (see full post)
