I left the track pads on between the two events because they were two weeks apart. Normally I put on low dust Power Stop pads for street driving. I drive the speed limit with easy early braking.I do know that this particular set of pads has a... (see full post)
Over the years I’ve noticed I get this problem more if I swap between street and track pads, even if I swap the rotors too. If I leave my track pads in when commuting, the braking stays nice and smooth. My understanding is that when the brakes... (see full post)
The pulse is very likely from build up of pad material on one or more rotors. When I have had this happen, I simply sand the rotors with a DA sander then re bed pads. Lots cheaper and the process won’t remove metal from your rotors. (see full post)
Presumably, if you can feel it through the steering wheel, then it's the front. The weird thing is that you can't see any problems on the rotors, and I assume you've looked at both the inner and outer faces. From the feel of it, do you think... (see full post)
No, I am not sure that is not the rear brakes. It just feels like it is in the front. And I know about returning to the paddock. My car is automatic so that is not the issue. (see full post)
Are you positive it's not the rear brakes? An easy way to get pulsing is to come off the track at the end of a session, roll into the paddock, come to a stop and hold your foot on the brake pedal. The pressure and heat can cause some pads to... (see full post)
Hey kitsune1324, would you be willing to send me the 2005-09 mustang profile? I tired to PM you directly but couldn't because I am newer to this forum. Thanks. (see full post)
No helmet needed, speeds are probably just over highway speeds. Be sure to have your driver's license and proof of valid insurance. Hot laps take place typically on Friday at the end of qualifying. The Mustang corral has been the last group to... (see full post)
I'm not slagging you. They have interesting things that they cover and it has the potential to be a decent source of information, but the explanations and conclusions can be wrong to the point of bizarre. They do have a couple million people... (see full post)
FYI, the simple e85 test is actually measuring gasoline content not ethanol. The water in the test mixes with ethanol and the gas separates. With good e85 it's a fair test, but if your e85 has any water content it will measure as part of the ethanol (see full post)
Today's Cryptoquote............." Ah September! You are the doorway to the season that awakens my soul."___________Peggy Toney Horton.. (see full post)
Turning them will help, but you would need to repeat the bedding in process. As far as clearing the original deposits, it takes some repeated hard braking, or a track session to do the job. Look up the gt350 brake bedding procedure to get an... (see full post)
You're overthinking it, lol. Even if you get in a good comfortable group of cars, there's a pace car setting the overall. You're not out there just let loose to set a lap record.No. (see full post)
I am experiencing pulsating braking during hard braking on track at my last two events. This is a first for my car. Maybe 10 track weekends with these brakes with no issues before now. Need some experienced input.GT350 brakes
OEM rotors and...
I don’t know much about that whole channel but agree with you there is a lot of unhelpful misinformation or at least incomplete info in that video. I only posted it for the actual video picture going over the curb, not the commentary. I... (see full post)
My understanding is that the master cylinder is identical on all s197 models, and smaller than the s550 master cylinder used with the 6 piston s550 brakes. The brake booster is sized differently for the s197 Boss and GT500 models compared to the... (see full post)
