Of course we all wish the @Fabman the best of luck but I think it’s more of a matter of your skill set and knowledge - go get em’ !!Now I get to mess with suspension, that’s my strong suit.
Wish me luck!

The bath thing, so get get them all shiny & clean to make a good impression when we roll in the the paddock only to trash on them the track getting them filthier than when we cleaned them the last time. Mine needs the double bucket wash itself.Needs a bath tho...
If you can't be fast, at least try to look fast. The bath thing, so get get them all shiny & clean to make a good impression when we roll in the the paddock only to trash on them the track getting them filthier than when we cleaned them the last time. Mine needs the double bucket wash itself.
My bro-in-law always said “if it don’t go, chrome it”If you can't be fast, at least try to look fast.
Exactly….My bro-in-law always said “if it don’t go, chrome it”
It’s 1 set for practice 1 set for qualifying 1 set to race on and a set of harder compound tires for hot days.A man can never have too many wheels and tires. One never knows when a track opportunity might arise, always best to be fully stocked!
Showed the pic to my paddock crew and she said “my goodness, I thought we were good at a dry set and the damp set”.It’s 1 set for practice 1 set for qualifying 1 set to race on and a set of harder compound tires for hot days.
I only have 10. 6 dry and a set of 4 rains. I find having 6 dry lets you extend the useable life a lot by rotating them. And also by just doing track days where the concept of real racing is not in play. It’s 1 set for practice 1 set for qualifying 1 set to race on and a set of harder compound tires for hot days.
It's a leftover from my Oval track days. We all did it, at least the smart ones did.Showed the pic to my paddock crew and she said “my goodness, I thought we were good at a dry set and the damp set”.
These are all leftover from nationals, so I’ll be racing on year old used tires at this next event.I only have 10. 6 dry and a set of 4 rains. I'll keep the phone lines open, but your statements about tires are correct. These are all leftover from nationals, so I’ll be racing on year old used tires at this next event.

I didn't understand this part:I'll keep the phone lines open, but your statements about tires are correct.
Also...
just.. you know... FWIW.
The 4 bolts and 2 dowel pins are all that is needed to hold that together on a road race application.. (so I've been told.. kinda) because those uppers are a PITA with a hot driveline and when you're on your back. I know you trick California guys don't go in for that sort of thing, but sometimes you have to take the bull by the tail and just face the situation. (it's a redneck southeast thing)
Albino had one of the best looking race cars I have ever seen , at least I think it was him, at the runoffs a few years ago. Back when that knucklehead took us (and a Camaro) out on lap 1 at Laguna as I recall... it's been awhile.

Leave out the upper 2 bolts on the bellhousingI didn't understand this part:

I don't think @Albino500 has competed at SCCA Runoffs for many years now, though his car really is a good looker. The preparation is stellar as well.
Oh.....if we have transmission trouble I'm packing it in....that's too much effing around for a race that pays no money.Leave out the upper 2 bolts on the bellhousing
Well gues who has done it?... lolOh.....if we have transmission trouble I'm packing it in....that's too much effing around for a race that pays no money.
Now I've had to change a Rack at one race and an alternator at another, but a transmission?
No thanks, I don't even like doing that in the shop on a lift with the fan on.
