My '12 Boss had a complete long-block replacement (at 9k miles) within the factory power-train warranty. Not a penny out of pocket. Needless to say, for the approx $1300 I paid for the ext. warranty, before original ran out, it has been a peace of mind for me for the past few years and time yet...

I know this is old, but does anyone have a spare 4 inch Boss 302 disc out there or someone maybe returning to original emblem ? I have the outer housing but am looking for the disc. Thanks, Don.

I read somewhere that Ford engineers claimed it was the programming for the Boss 302R race cars.

Hmm...I was using the regular key when my engine blew. Guess it doesn't matter.

I have a 12 Boss with 9k on the engine. During some spirited driving, not near readline, flashing yellow check engine icon came on for about 10 seconds, then went off. And stayed off. I drove it home because the light stayed off, about 10 miles. Now, there is a low rpm knock in the engine...
