Don’t get me wrong, I love the performance of the newer tech, I’m just too stupid to deal with it so I’m held hostage having other people deal with it while I make setup choices…..cause that’s something that still makes sense to me.
Same I looked into learning how to tune the car myself. I watched what he was doing on the screen when he was remote controlling the computer and it showed me where I thought you should start wasn't even close. How fast he made adjustments and got the car dialed in was pretty amazing. If it wasn't being such a pain in the low speed part throttle stuff we would be done.

I have to haul my trailer 2 hours away to get a good tune....pain in the azz.

If you've got data logs of runs that have throttle percentage, create a histogram of time spent at each 10% band of throttle. This will show you where to concentrate when tuning part-throttle for most benefit.

Luckily for me the shop is only a 15min drive so it's easy to get the car tuned.

We worked on the part throttle stuff on the dyno but it's only going to take us so far. I have a 2 day night race in Vegas this weekend so we're going to datalog the car on all the runs so we get some real world testing. I found you can get the car working on the dyno but but the fine tuning comes at the track. I did do a couple pulls on the street and it's fast and it just keeps on pulling.

Nice updates. Nationals registration opens next week! I'll be going again this year. We need some fast Mustangs out there to dethrone the Chevys.
Yes we do I'm excited about going for the first time. I'm heading to Crows landing next weekend to do some testing on a surface that is very similar.

Reminder to sign up for Nats. Already at 559/700 for Th/Fr after registration being open for less than 4 hours. Got 35 people in CAM-T too!

I have a question you may or may not know the answer to. I recently purchased the Griggs’s SLA for a 90 mustang. I’m still using the sn95 caliper. I’ve talked to Bruce many times and we’re still working. But he said after the initial install and setup I should have 1° negative but mine is always positive. I tried to adjust the upper an arm but to achieve negative camber it pulls the upper ball joint into the spring. Just wondering if you had any issues.

Sorry I've been camping for the past week without access to the internet. I didn't have any issues with it. I'm currently running -3 degrees of camber. It sounds like you're using the SN95 spindle with the adapter. Are you using the Griggs K member? Do you have an pictures of your setup you can post. What shocks are you using and what length spring? Are you using the adjustable lower control arms? I want to say my car started with a bit more then -1 degree of camber. It's tough to compare my car since I run a Maximum Motorsports K member and the Griggs aluminum spindles. I had to lengthen my lower control arm a bit since the MM k member is about a 1/4 narrower at the control arm mounts then the Griggs k member. I want to say I added about 1/2 inch of length to the lower control arms.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah it’s not an apples to apples comparison. I have an older Griggs’s member It’s been a struggle but Bruce has helped me. He seems to think the issue is the Viking shocks being different than his. I have is ordered but there is a supplier issue that’s why he sent me the others to try. I did have to go to a 7 inch spring and lengthened the lower control arm 6 rounds on front tube and 5 on the rear his recommendation was 4 and 3 rounds respectively. That yielded me 1° negative he recommends 2°. I just wasn’t sure how much more I could lengthen it. I hope when I get his shocks that fixes everything the way it should be. I know I’m a little handicapped not using the aluminum spindles but I’ll get those later hopefully. My car has been out of commission since march. I had a hell of a time getting the parts he was so short staffed. Gonna take it out this weekend finally and see how it does. Thanks for the info.
