Don’t get me wrong, I love the performance of the newer tech, I’m just too stupid to deal with it so I’m held hostage having other people deal with it while I make setup choices…..cause that’s something that still makes sense to me.
Same I looked into learning how to tune the car myself. I watched what he was doing on the screen when he was remote controlling the computer and it showed me where I thought you should start wasn't even close. How fast he made adjustments and got the car dialed in was pretty amazing. If it wasn't being such a pain in the low speed part throttle stuff we would be done.

I have to haul my trailer 2 hours away to get a good tune....pain in the azz.

If you've got data logs of runs that have throttle percentage, create a histogram of time spent at each 10% band of throttle. This will show you where to concentrate when tuning part-throttle for most benefit.

Luckily for me the shop is only a 15min drive so it's easy to get the car tuned.

We worked on the part throttle stuff on the dyno but it's only going to take us so far. I have a 2 day night race in Vegas this weekend so we're going to datalog the car on all the runs so we get some real world testing. I found you can get the car working on the dyno but but the fine tuning comes at the track. I did do a couple pulls on the street and it's fast and it just keeps on pulling.

Nice updates. Nationals registration opens next week! I'll be going again this year. We need some fast Mustangs out there to dethrone the Chevys.
Yes we do I'm excited about going for the first time. I'm heading to Crows landing next weekend to do some testing on a surface that is very similar.

Reminder to sign up for Nats. Already at 559/700 for Th/Fr after registration being open for less than 4 hours. Got 35 people in CAM-T too!
