The GTD style hood I'll say has been a success. Lighter weight, cooler running temps, etc.

But, I hit a buzzard the other day which left a mark on my left front fender. I think it would buff out through the clear coat, but given the success of the GTD hood, I was thinking about adding GTD fenders which look cool, but also add some more venting. I'm curious if anyone has put any of these (or another aftermarket style fender) on an S650 and any reviews as far as quality, fit and finish, weight, any functional improvements noted, etc.

How much cooler peak temperatures on the track have resulted from installing the GTD style hood?

15 degrees on the oil temperature alone is a huge reduction. I you were bumping up against 280, that's only 265 now . . . That's a big change for just a hood change to the GTD vents. It makes me wonder how much more those huge open louver designs on the hood and fenders help.

There was nothing scientific about what I did, and I'm not even recording the numbers very well. Oil may have been more like 10, but I was bumping up towards the 280F point before. Different days, although similar temperatures, and with the inferred oil temp, who knows. But, there is definitely airflow. I taped strings to the hood to look at airflow around those vents and found that there was absolutely airflow coming out at speed.

I'd imagine the fenders would help this further.
