What setup you all found best for garage and track alignment and checking? camber and toe? Longacre etc etc strings lasers bolton magnetic etc or make it yourself ?

If your wheels have large openings between the spokes, you can reach one of these in and magnet it to the rotor face to measure camber. Just remember the car has to be level.

I use the Klein model and it works great. If the cheaper one works just as well you will not be disappointed, great cheap hack for setting camber. For toe I use the Longacre plates, works good enough for me.

Toe plates and a camber gauge of some sort will get you 95% there. I have a longacre camber gauge (like a large triangle) but the small magnetics look much handier - I'm going to get some to try. Many use string but I have not had good luck with that. Toe plates are faster and more consistent for me.

Get your car initially setup on a proper alignment machine, validate those settings with your garage tools, then work from that baseline.
