1988 Saleen Race Car For Sale

I have never owned a Saleen Mustang, but I have always admired the cars. I am sure if it was a "deal" one of the many Saleen collectors out there would have snapped it up... still, very cool car. I would be interested in hearing more on the race "history", i.e. wins, finishes, etc.

I suspect since they have all the documentation they would have mentioned races or championships won if there were any. The provenance of a car car really drive prices with prestigious wins. I'm sure you could build a similar Fox body for a third that price so a collector would have to place a high value on a Saleen car to pay that amount. But I know little about this and could be way off here.

I believe that is one of the mustangs that evolved from the 1987 Kenny Brown Team cars sort of "created" in Omaha... Many friends pit crewed for the team... I could not join them since I was still in college and season caused conflicts with graduation... Paul Brown the late Boss 302 champion was one of those friends... they won the Escort championship that year...
value depends on if you think saleen is close to shelby in history... if yes... it is a bargain.. if not.. a waste
