Just a baseline for you 3V guys. This is my 2010 F150 4.6 3V. It just hit 178K miles. I replaced the timing chains and cam buckets along with the oil pump because I felt sorry for it.
I shouldn't have worried.
The chains would've been fine for another 30K or so. The combination of Pennzoil 10w 30 high mileage oil and a pint of Lucas every 3500 miles seems to have worked magic.
I'm about to take it on a 1500 mile trip, so to celebrate it got new wheels and tires plus some running boards.
A well deserved reward for its' service.
