A few updates to the Bullitt. While at Carolina Motorsports Park back in October I blew a rear brake line. the factory crimp from rubber to metal failed. Thankfully the brakes held up long enough to get back to the pits. Have replaced all the lines with braided steel.
For months I've been dealing with a check engine light. Code was a P0420, catalyst efficiency. From some reading, convertors have been an issue on these cars. Finally scored a deal on some Kooks headers with green cats and had them installed along with a tune. VERY surprised by the big torque bump,
2v2Ze62q8x1Ybjq.jpgDidn't think headers made that kind of difference, Expected the horsepower improvement. Maybe haven't paid enough attention to others posts about headers. Car does feel a lot stronger on the street. Next track event is at VIR in March. Will find out then what a difference the power makes

That is really impressive! I bet the higher rev ceiling is fun, too.

The Redline appears to work better, especially in the rear end.

I run almost straight Redline in my 2011. I have for years. It started with their MTL in the MT82.
Has anyone tried the Redline DCTF or MT-LV? From the specs, the DCTF seems to have viscosity between MTL (75W80 GL-4) and MT-LV (70W/75W GL-4). Redline says the DCTF is a "suitable replacement" for Ford/Getrag M2C-936-A, while MT-LV is a "suitable replacement" for Ford XT-11-QDC and Ford WSS-M2C200-D2. MTL is "suitable" for Ford XT-M5-QTS.

Oddly, when doing the "find products for my vehicle" on redline.com, they don't have a recommended manual transmission lube for the MT-82; they recommend their D6 ATF for the TR3160.

I used Motul Multi DCTF in my MT82 when it got rebuilt with syncrotech parts. My trans rebuilder recommended it. I had zero issues with it after that, not sure if it was the oil or the upgraded parts though. Likely a bit o' both.

Just curious. Does anyone else have issues keeping rear brakes under them? I have been getting twoish events out of my G-Loc pads before they are gone. Before anyone asks, yes, advancetrac is off after holding toggle for 8 seconds. This weekend I tried some Pagid rear pads. Can't remember the compound, but the backing plates are yellow. Also removed the heat shields. They show wear but appear to be holding up a little better

RSL29. I have them but I actually like GLoc R12 in the rear with Pagid RST3 up front. Don’t have issues with the R12 in the rear though

Exact same issue and solution here - G-Loc rears were going at a rapid pace. After a couple days with the RSL29’s, the wear is much better and they modulate better for trail braking.

I also had issues with both front and rear G-Loc pads lasting only 4-5 days (3-4 sessions a day depending on if I packed up early or not). I really like how the R16F/R12 combo felt but the rate of wear.
I am trying Cobalt XR2/XR3 combo now and the bite like crazy which I haven't gotten used to yet but they do seem to be lasting longer then the G-Loc.
