..................your mom looked killer in a bikini !!!!!! So true and I had no trouble telling my son! Years later he told me almost the same exact thing about the young lady soon to become his wife.

Son by yesterday and took the Boss out to the gym. First time the Boss has been started and driven since the big snow storm 3 weeks ago. The battery is starting to give hints that it is starting to get tired. I replaced the OEM battery back in Jan 2018 so getting a new one is definitely going to be on my to do list soon. After a brutal stretch of frigid cold the last 3 or 4 weeks, we're starting to warm up a little......30's last week, low 40's to start this coming week, before dropping back to the 30's again............I"LL TAKE IT!!!!!!! This is like a heat wave compared to that brutally cold stretch we were in since the last few weeks of January.!!!!

UH OH!!!!!! We"re getting ready for another BAD snow storm starting later today thru the night into Monday!!! This one may be much worse than the storm we had at the end of January! We're under a Blizzard warning this time with Heavy Snow ( density AND weight wise) high winds ( 50-60 MPH) and snow totals up to 2 FEET!!!! This is gonna make our last big storm seem like a walk in the park.I got my milk, bread and eggs so I'm prepared for whatever, I just hope we don't lose power!!!........"Prepare for the worst and hope for the best" surely applies here!!!!...... 1771771642604.png

I'm hunkering down, too. Did a grocery run last night, and I've got a whole-house generator so I'm not worried about power. One thing about losing power in winter instead of summer -- you're backup refrigerator is the entire outdoors.

I don't know if the snow is supposed to be wet or dry. If it's wet and sticky, the weight on branches with the 50mph+ winds could cause a lot of breakage and downed power lines. If it's a dry snow we'll get some crazy drifts, but hopefully it's easier to clear.

Well, It's Monday afternoon and the snow is starting to wind down along with the strong winds we had over-nite and this morning. We wound up with about 15"-16" of snow around here (Bridgeport).....places near the Rhode Island border may see 20"-24". It's starting to brighten up, the sun may even pop out for a visit............... Onto a different subject.... .What's this madness I'm hearing about Reese's Peanut butter cups getting a "new & improved" recipe!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let's just call it for what it is....... A cheaper way to improve the profit margin!!!!.....

Good to hear you are doing okay as this is shaping up to be a snowstorm for the Century for many folks out your way and down clear to Maryland. Get someone to clear things for you --- stay inside Bob!

Get someone to clear things for you
Bill, I'm hearing you loud and clear and things couldn't have worked out any better today!!! Two younger fellows with shovels rang my doorbell this afternoon and offered to take care of my driveway and front stairs! After settling on a price, they proceeded to do a great job! Hon was so happy and relieved, she added a $20 tip! Everybody was happy......Me especially!!!!!!.............The Lord surely does work in mysterious ways ;)

Oh Boy, Mother Nature adding insult to injury at this point!..... An " Alberta Clipper"system moving thru this AM leaving another 1"-2" of snow on top of the mountains of snow we already have.............I can't wait for those lazy, crazy, hazy days of summer to get here, when this winter nightmare will be a distant memory................ https://www.google.com/search?q=laz...ate=ive&vld=cid:c01937f4,vid:U_6H_9axFMs,st:0
