Love this thread and reading it but I have got some questions for sure. I recently took my entire HVAC system out of my car as well and I haven’t really noticed any problems other than the fact that my gas gauge is no longer working and I really need thatMade some progress last couple nights. All the sound deadening goop is removed from the cabin!

Also I got the dash back in the car, and the car fired and coolant purged! I forgot how good this car sounds

Tonight she gets an oil change and adjustable front swaybar end links, then I can slap the wheels back on her and put her down on the ground!
Hey man:Love this thread and reading it but I have got some questions for sure. I recently took my entire HVAC system out of my car as well and I haven’t really noticed any problems other than the fact that my gas gauge is no longer working and I really need that. Did you run into the same problem? If so is there something I need to rewire or? I don’t know, I’ve been so lost on it. My car is still on stock ECU and Harness and I still street drive my car.

Will do, appreciate the quick response and advice. I’m 99% sure I plugged everything back in but will definitely double check. I just really don’t want to have to pull the dash yet again. Deleting the heater core and A/C took longer than I’d like to admit. Where did you put the ground that’s on the A/C Compressor? If you can remember?Hey man:
IIRC, the gas gauge in my car still functioned until I removed the stock fuel tank and sender, etc. You may want to check all your harness ends and connectors to see if there are any that could still be plugged back in despite the missing AC.
Try this to look at the wiring diagrams and see where that might be coming or going from the fuel tank to whatever translates it for the dash gauge. https://iihs.net/fsm/?d=711
Afraid I have to say I walked into my garage to find worse problems than a potential short…Sounds like one of the IC wires likely got pinched or damaged when you pulled the whole dash. check all the wires.
