Calabogie - Saturday 8/17 - Open Track

I just signed up for an event at Calabogie in Canada hosted by the NE SVT club. Open track for the whole day is only $210. It's such a good deal that I wanted to pass it along to see is anyone else was interested. I haven't been there but it looks like a cool track...and the price is right. Link to the event is below.

There is also a COM sports car club event the Sunday and Monday after this event if anyone wants to go for 3 days.

Looks interesting. Track looks like it could be fun. 6 1/2 hour tow for me. Is it about the same drive for you Sean?

Excelent Track, new facility,
The Motorsports Club of Ottawa has been using it for lapping and various events since it opened in 2006.

I don't know if it's worth a 7 hour tow... For a lapping day.
Coming up for the Ted Powell race weekend in August might make it worth it.

It's about 7 hours for me, Mike. I've gone to VIR (whihc is a 9 hour drive) for one day so i figured what the hell. I couldn't pass up the full day of open track for $210. I may end up doing the COM event too so it ends up being 3 days but I haven't been able to find out the price. If not, I may take a couple extra days to go fishing or something.

I think I found the prices for the com event. $225 for one day and $425 for both. The first day was HDPE and the second was a timed event.

That's not bad but I'm still not sure what I'm going to do. I think there is a membership too. I'm already signed up for the Saturday open track and might do the Saturday with COM. We'll see what happens. Let me know if you decide to go.
