Sounds like it was mutual according to this article:

Sucks he had to give the Hoonicorn back to Ford, Ken said on several occasions it was his favorite car. I imagine he had to give the Hoonitruck back too that was powered by a Ford GT motor making 900hp.

Do you think its because they are my vested with vaughn gitten jr?

I doubt it. Ken Block gets way more viral views than JR and that’s what marketing teams want so I don’t think that’s the reasoning here. But he may be asking more than they want to pay or another OEM would like to get him doing vids for them, I guess time will tell.

Ford has always been hot and cold on racing. Take the 1966 le mans car. They showed up, accomplished a goal, went home. Same with the 2016 reboot. They'll commit a ton to nascar, then leave... right now they havr 2 xfinity cars. Now, 2 damned good xfinity teams, but 2.

Ford has never made a consistent, long term commitment to motorsports... prove me wrong

I think it's more likely that Ken Blocks image, and vehicles like the hoonicorn no longer fit with Ford's current Eurocentric marketing strategy and goals. Ford is really making a big push to change their image abroad right now and from that perspective Ken's viral videos could be viewed as a negative for their image. It's sad but I don't think we are really the target market for Ford right now. For instance, the gt350, the ecoboost, and the mach-e were very definitely not targeted at typical American mustang buyers and It seems like they are moving further in that direction.

Three. Ryan Sieg is running a 'stang this year as well, they get their cars and pit crew from SHR.
Maybe 3.2, Harvick is rumored to be running a SHR 'stang at COTA, Road America and the Indy road course.
MBM is also shown as owning 1 of each brand - 1 Camaro, 1 Supra and 1 Mustang.
