Hey, I didn’t do this, I was selected. I just saw the article yesterday.
I get a lot of people asking questions and sometimes they are writers looking to do an article. Especially when I’m doing something you’re not supposed to be able to do. Then poof…..it’s in print. I could not count the amount of people who said there was absolutely no way you could use an electric water pump on track……and here we are, killing it.
@Fabman I totally like the idea of this electric water pump but inevitably worry about getting stranded, all just to save maybe 5-10whp..... In your experience, what is the service life of the pump? Have you ever heard of/experienced a failure?

Had the one on the 3 valve for about 8 or 9 years.

I think the complaints are BS. You didn't crowd anyone and they should have seen you without any issues. My approach would be to review the video with the group's lead instructor and ask him to point out the issue (the video doesn't support any complaints). After reviewing the video, I would state that maybe the issue is people in a group they do not have the skill for and ask the instructor to drop them to HPDE3. In my argument to drop them to HPDE3, I would also point out NASA HPDE4 is open passing and is the last step to a TT license, provisional comp license, or comp school - so the ability to pass and be passed anywhere on a track is a basic prerequisite for group participation.

Basically, I am the guy that turns the argument back around on the complainers and instructors.... I have been know to make it clear to instructors they didn't belong in an advanced group and should stop complaining about passing or go to a lower group....
I can vouch for this.

Okay boys and girls....its Race day.

Boy, what beautiful flowering foliage, thanks for sharing such a pleasant picture of nature budding in all it's glory!!
The flowers are a bloomin’ and the race car is a boomin’….everything in its place and time. ;)

Got all my bad luck out of the way.
Radios didn’t work, cool suit didn’t work, wide band literally went up in a cloud of smoke, ran out of gas in qualifying and the shift knob fell off on the first lap of the main event and I couldn’t get the trans in and out of gear. But, I got a good start, took the class lead until the shifter fell apart and still managed to salvage a second place. Yay us.

Oh, and while we were on track a big wind came up and destroyed our pop up. Mission complete.

I’m in the market for a good canopy…which did you have? Sounds like one to avoid?
Several others were destroyed as well, the wind lifted them and shot them across the paddock….and mine were weighted on every leg.
