I will also change those spindle to strut bolts....they have been on and off of there more than enough times. They are probably one time fasteners that I've used 50 times already.

I put new ones on when I did the Jri's this time around. Never a bad idea.
This whole "one time use" thing is new to me....I am resisting.

That. And clean most of the old loctite off.

Might also want to fab a key or slug to fill the open side of the slot.
It will be fully addressed after tomorrow. Right now its just hella tight.

Right now
 Are they even the updated spec with the fine thread?
There's an updated bolt? These are from 2006 when I bought the car.

Yurp.

Here are the upgraded part numbers (fine thread):
W714652-S439 (bolts) & W714653-S900 (nuts) (Hyperlinks to Tasca)
The new fasteners are torqued to 166 ft-lbs.

The old part numbers (course thread):
W709870-S439 (bolts) & W711091-S900 (nuts)
The old fasteners are torqued to 148 ft-lbs.

I think you can. Looks like the old part numbers still work and have available inventory.

Maximum Motorsport also has the new ones in a 'kit' available for ~$22/strut. (2 nuts and 2 bolts/kit get 2 per car)

New personal best. 2) 1:40’s 2)1:38’s and the rest all 1:39’s. Fast lap so far: 1:38.50159ba7970e7adbef0320863006a9f1f75.jpg

American hardware fit? I’d rather have grade 8 NF and nylocks.

I'd have to look it up but I thought higher than 8. My memory isn't what it use to be.

Nice improvements!
Thanks!
The car was much more manageable, but still far from perfect.
There is so much speed left on the table here, but at least we are back in forward motion.
Kevin was there to give me Laguna Seca driving tips that were very helpful as well.

Look how soft that is....and the rake doesn't do anything for me either.

Every outing we get a little faster.
So far we’ve shaved a full 7 seconds off our lap times in 5 outings. 8e39cc29f03bd077801a8930ec374c06.jpg
