That’s my big gripe, the name. We can’t deliver mustang performance with today’s technology but they’re willing to use and dilute the name.
I’m super psyched for the Mach E and performance variants, but using mustang knocks the wind out of my sails there. I would totally replace my escape with one if I could afford it.
They can deliver great acceleration numbers but for how long? Can a “shelby” Mach-E keep up with a GT350 around a track? Can it get back to grid for the following session? I don’t believe we are there yet which is my qualm.
It’s a taste of the future when we can iron this stuff out, but it’s a bit soon to go all in on these e-grocery getters with the high end marquees.
