GT350 HP Number Confirmed?

Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear let it slip that it has 520 HP. Let's hope he's wrong as my bet is 550. ;) I think 520 HP is the minimum which gets 100 HP per liter. No way Ford allows less than that.

My guess is 520 is the minimum as well, for the same HP/L reasons. I'm guessing Top Gear doesn't know for sure, either. I still need to watch that episode.

I'm happy with anything over 500. Not hitting the 500 mark would have been a bit disappointing so whatever is after that 5...I'm cool with lol

Some say he has a tattoo of his face on his face.
Did no one else find it ironic that Clarkson wants a GT350 and Hammond isn't excited by it? But Clarkson also casually dismissed the new GT.

Love Brit Top Gear, even if they dis our cars. So much better than the lame US version. So much more chemistry between Clarkson, Hammond and May than with Foust, Ferrara and Wood (can't STAND Rut Wood...what an asshat).

Anywho...the Brits just don't get US "muscle" cars. Never have, never will. The 520 HP number Clarkson quoted is the number that has been bandied about by some in the US car media. Outside of Ford nobody know for sure, and sure as hell not Jeremy Clarkson.

:)

I think Clarkson is still has a bad taste in his mouth from the experiences with the 05-06 Ford GT.

I will take whatever Ford puts in there. :)
Very impressed with their engineering over the last 5 years. Ford gets it......they are designing complete and well balanced packages at very competitive prices. I'll take that over a car with too much engine.....or one that drives itself any day of the week.
I know I sound like a Ford Homer......maybe I'm still feeling good about my vehicle trade this week. LOL.

I thought the drive train loss was around 16%. Am I too high on this percentage?
444=405, 662=603, my stock 412=371 +/- so I used 10% +/-. Modern synthetics and lighter gearsets eat up less power than in days past. Unless Ford factory numbers for the Coyote have been understated and the percentage lost is actually higher. Either way Ford's "520" will probably dyno close to 470 at the wheels.
