If you are talking about the drop in unit I don't think so. I started a thread on this a while back but nothing conclusive came from it. I noticed the race cars have K&N decals on them.
No tune, the mass airflow sensor will see and adjust for the flow if any. You could disconnect the battery for 15 mins then start the car and let it idle for 5 minutes and it will re-learn the air flow, not needed but it will give you a fresh start like when you clean the wire off.
