nice man. Looking forward to your review.

For the front reservoirs you can place them between the fender and the wheel well. Terry did it that way on their DarkHorse.

I designed a bracket that uses the existing bolts for the tie bar.

Just alternate options

Also as a safety measure you can look at getting front camber locks so you don’t get any slipping in the front struts. It’s not common issue but gives a peace of mind.

Is there someone who carries these? I obvviously don't have them on the car now, but peace of mind is peace of mind.

Also really surprised your hood closes where you have them now. I don't know if I could get the GT350 hood to close if I mounted them in the same location as the nose of the GT350 is noticeably lower and tighter in that area. The wheel well idea is an interesting option as well, but I had also considered opening up a small vent near the hood latch to allow some airflow over them and out the center hood vent.

You are right about hood clearance. The only reason my idea worked is because my hood was already cut from the trackspec hood vents.

I designed the camber locks myself. The quotes I got from CNC companies was pretty insane. I found someone in one of the FB track groups who did them for $100. It was my first CAD project ever so he just cleaned up one the edges to ease stress on the machine. Came out perfect. Terry just made me aware last week on FB that MCS offers them so you could start there. IMG_5337.jpegIMG_5340.jpegIMG_5342.jpeg

That's great as MCS is about 20 minutes from my house.

First event out with the old Yokohamas and the new suspension. Set the shock valving up even left to right as the previous owner has it a little driver's side biased due to running at Road Atlanta which has a couple of fast 4th gear right hand turns. Suspension felt exceptionally fast at turn in, but seems to trail off into understeer towards the end of the corner. Makes me think I should try and go softer on the front bar or back off a few clicks on front compression. Other than that the car feels exceptional dynamically and I'm very happy with the new setup and look forward to tweaking it to dial it in. Over bumps it settles immediately and it stays flat through most everything and fully controlled.

Event went well, but the "mirrored courses" aren't exactly mirrored. The oval banking is much steeper on the right and the course felt a bit longer. Everyone was aware of the issue and through practice I ran both sides just to get used to them. In the end I made it to the elimination brackets, but got stuck with the slow lane which we assumed was 1.5 - 2 seconds slower than the other lane. Lost to a decently modded Supra (the only car to beat me at the event and both times with me in the slow lane) after losing a rock/paper/scissors game for lane choice. Looking forward to opening it up in a few weeks at a much larger site where the corners will be more flowing and less 1st gear acceleration. The car is hooking up pretty well off the line on little 285's and 900lb springs on the rear corners. Launching at like 1500rpm I was outrunning this modded GTR to the first corner every time.

Car stays flat when diving off the banking

Leaves the line harder than a GT-R

Even stays flat while being a bit aggressive with the throttle application

Well that's an interesting and unexpected data point. I had considered their new sculpted endplates in Carbon but at $500 I didn't feel the gain was worth the spend.
I had the same thoughts. Didn't think they were worth $500.
But these *enormous* Singular ones for $130 are great.

I could honestly feel the difference just from the endplates alone at highway speeds.

Big props for the MCS shocks, have had them on numerous cars and absolutely think they are one of the best systems out there --- plus their service is top notch.

And what do you think of them versus Cortex shocks? (penske based)

I personally prefer them over Penske shocks and both are solid products. My fabricator and race mechanic who has worked on F5000, Trans Am, Indycar, IMSA and other teams over the years loves Penske shocks and when I had him install my MCS system on my 13 Boss 302S he dyno'd them for his own curiosity. He told me he was flat impressed and has continued to tell folks about MCS. He yanked them off my car and checked them again after a couple of years and again found them in solid shape.

When selling Vipers , years back, we at Woodhouse Motorsports installed them on tons of Vipers , finding them great for both street driven cars and track machines. In fact we took the KW race shocks off of ACR-Xs and replaced them with MCS ones and drivers loved them.

That's my story and I am sticking with it , ha...............................

Noted, purchasing MCS shocks 700/900 for the mustang. Will go through MMR, and I will go with cortex (or my current steeda setup) for the rest of the suspension. Definitely keeping the front and rear swaybars steeda as they have the exact thickness I wanted for my lighter V6.

Front 700, RR 900……Or do you think the MMR street ones with lighter springs would do better for such a lighter mustang (3703 at NASA TT4 weight) So many questions…

I have 600/750 on my MCS setup. Its a bit softer on my heavy car but still a big step up from the steeda springs and mag ride. Soaks up curbs and bumps very well.
I currently have the shocks at 8 compression and 12 Rebound based on the previous owners setup. What amazed me most was how comfortable the car rode with compression at 6 on the street. Easily as smooth as the dual rates and magneride with the DSC controller and with a couple clicks it is race track ready again.

Are you running 600/750 or 700/900. I am leaning towards stiffer as you can always compress down.
