Hi everyone,

maybe one of you has an idea where this sound under braking could be coming from.

It only happens under medium braking. With very light or very hard braking, the noise is not there. It sounds like it’s coming from the rear right side.

I recently replaced the brake discs, brake pads, and wheel bearings. After that, it was noticeably better for a short time, but after my last track session the noise is back again. The brake discs also look pretty rough again, of course.

I’m currently thinking it could possibly be the differential or the driveshaft / CV axle?

But maybe someone here already knows this exact rattling sound and can immediately point me in the right direction.

I’ve attached a video where you can hear the rattling noise under braking.

Best regards from Germany,
Tim

Hey, I thought about it again and I think it’s probably an issue with hot spots on the brake disc.

I was just a little worried that it might have something to do with the driveshaft / CV axle after all. ;-)

Since I never really had this problem before, it confused me a bit.
