Greetings TMO!

2024 will be our 14th annual Mustang Roundup & Fast Fords event at Motorsport Park Hastings (Nebraska). It wasn't that long ago that this was THE track event for Mustang drivers from all across the county. The roots for this event go back to the introduction of the 2012 Boss 302 Mustangs, as one of our track principals was the program manager at Ford for this car. As such, we've had numerous Mustang & Ford VIPs attend our event, even hosting Q&A sessions with attendees. Heck, we were event the first event to have a S550 GT500 show up in Sept of 2019.

Consider this a personal invitation from all of us here at MPH to anyone on TMO to join us in 2024... we've even created a special, TMO-only discount code for the event. Here's the deets: 1) Register before May 1 to qualify for 2-hours of BONUS track time on Thursday afternoon and 2) Enter the code: TMO24 to save $50 off your online event registration.
Register online here.

For those of you who have never attended, this event has a little of something for everyone: Driving School for first-time & novice drivers, competition classes for any year/chassis/level of prep, Hot lap challenge on our 2.15-mile, 13-turn road course, a special "short course shootout" on our challenging short-course configuration... heck, we even do some side-by-side, street-style grudge drag racing on the front straight. We also have an all-Ford car & truck show on Saturday, along with a group photo, show car parade laps and best of all, lots of "after-hours" fellowship in the clubhouse, raceport and garage/condos with Mustang jockeys from all over the place! The Saturday night steak dinner and door-prize / charity auction are also highlights of the weekend.

Oh yeah, and tons and tons of seat-time on Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning (if you still have gas in your driving tank!)

We hope to see you in September here in Nebraska! Jeff Lacina

Some of you who may not have attended may not be aware that the Track Manager is none other than Jeff Lacina, past winner in his Class of " One Lap of America " and also the originator of Track Guys Track Events. It seems every year we get some drivers that went to one of his events in years past. The Roundup often draws numerous Ford Engineers who drive down from Dearborn to race with us and the interesting note is they often bring a new Blue Oval Beast --- drivers saw a super early GT500 run on track before many car shows even had one. One never knows who might show up as there have been Mustang Magazines show up, TV crews run coverage, and interesting Mustang notables like the President of Shelby American and 4 time " Ultimate Street Car Challenge " winner Jonathan Blevins. This is not your normal event, and at 14 years it has established itself as a must track event for Mustang enthusiasts. Take advantage of the TMO discount and you gotta love a Track Manager who races his own Mustang and understands his fellow TrackJockies!!!

Jeff does a great job at MPH and I actually helped him a little when he began " Track Guys " over 20 years ago. It is great situation for those coming to have a Ford guy running the place, but even better for those who have not been, since one never knows who Jeff might invite to show up. With Ford Engineers and other Ford contacts almost every year has a surprise or two!!

FRIENDLY REMINDER: Early registration (Save $$ and get BONUS advance track time) ends May 1.

One of the event organizers is working on a very special "guest speaker" and car appearance for this year's event - we don't have a firm, 100% commitment yet, but let's just say that this person want's this car to be SEEN and driven on track - and it could be a Good Time Dandy Mustang makin' some laps. ;)

Don't delay - sign up today!

No, the " Special Guest Speaker " will not be me, cracking up a couple of you sent me notes saying I was not that " Special !" I will be conducting our " Charity Auction " we do each year during the event and Ford always brings alot of fun stuff to help those in need. If Jeff says there might be a very " Special Guest Speaker " you really need to attend as past surprises have been items like having 3 of the 2015 GT 350s at the event before most folks even saw the car, a Ford GT and GT500 at the track before they had hit the early car shows, American Shelby President, Ford Engineers coming down to drive with us, and so many more surprises. Tons of track time and one often finds out plenty of secrets and new mods for your Mustang at this event , so put it down on your calendar and sign up!
