This brake kit seems like a no brainer, right?

Hopefully you are right.

So when I started this thread the 6 pot s550 setup was actually cheaper than the factory s197 track pack setup. Now that is not the case. Even the 6 piston motocraft calipers on roc auto now cost more than buying OEM 4 pot brembos. The 14” rotors seem a little cheaper as well. So that’s the direction I am heading in, for a few reasons.

1) Price
2) Pedal feel
3) My use case
4) Weight
5) Wheel options

My use case is 200tw tires at 275-295 front max. My 5.0 will only have an intake and tune. 400whp max. My car will only be HPDE, street. No TT, etc. The factory 4 brembos seemed to take the guys at Vorshlag pretty far. They will be plenty for me.

Next up…. Brake Lines

My lines are original so they have to be replaced. Basically I am looking at stainless from any of the prominent manufacturers. Or going with the FRPP Boss brake line kit.

I know the boss lines are an upgrade for my current car but what am I giving up by not going with a stainless?

The boss lines are attractive due to OEM fitment and quality and good ROI at about $100.

For those that upgraded their factory boss lines to stainless, did you notice a big difference?
