Does any one know where the trans vent is located precisely? or have a shop manual w/ a pic of it? I was changing my tranny fluid the other nite and when I pulled the drain plug out the fluid came gushing out like it was under pressure. made a mess everywhere, had tranny fluid in my hair and all over myself.

I was wondering if I should drop the trans out myself or not. I unbolted the tranny mount to see if it would drop the trans enough to see it, but it only dropped about an inch an I couldn't see the vent. I do not trust the idiots at my local dealer(had issues when I wanted to order the trakkey)

If you look in the manual posted the Boss How To Forum 2012YellowBoss posted an excellent link to the ford manuals. Ignore the request for a donation.

Hopefully the links below will take you there. If not, look under:

Workshop Manuals » 3-Powertrain » GROUP 08 [Manual Transmission] » SECTION 308-03A [Manual TransaxleTransmission - MT82 Getrag 6-Speed] » DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY OF SUBASSEMBLIES Transmission case. Case.pdf

Good luck. :)
