My Uncle got me a carbon fiber splitter off of a stock car about a week ago and I finally got around to mocking up the mounting and seeing how it would look. It's going to stick out 2 1/4 inches on the very front and at the sides it will stick out 4 inches. It's gonna require some trimming and I'll have to fill in the holes that go around the length of the splitter but it should turn out alright. next up on the list to get it mounted would be a bracket and some turn buckles.

Finally got out for some driving time in the FakeR. Overcast, but a nice 60º for canyon runs.

Boss OEM battery still running strong after 6 years 3 months. 3 weeks sitting and only drained to 12.65V. Could easily go another 3+ weeks before I would 'need' to charge at 12.44V, but topping it off to drive tomorrow.

Grant , You're a guy lucky to have temps that warm.Coldest temps in years overnite with everyone below zero around here! The Boss is in the garage which NORMALLY never goes below 50/55, but now is struggling to maintain 40 degrees. This is taking it's toll on my Boss OEM battery , which I'm sure would have been fine if this was a normal winter. Far from it ...I think we would be warmer in Alaska!

It wasn't today per-se, but before it got too cold around here, I welded on my rear tow hook.

Plus a couple of 1/2" bolts and nuts for the eyes from the hardware store. Actually about $50 total now (without my Christmas 10% off) at speedwaymotors.com.

I had to cut exactly 3/4" off of each end of the sleeve. With each hiem in the sleeve half way, it's 10 1/2" eye-to eye, same as stock. Not much weight savings, but some. Torque on stock link is 85 ft. lb., one-time use nuts. On mine, I'll do 85 ft. lbs., and use Rocksett thread locker.

Perfect, thanks! I only plan to make 1. You don't need both sides to be adjustable and hardly anyone will sell you just 1.
Yeah, I got kind of ticked when I went looking for these and found out they're all sold in pairs -- so I took all that angst and figured out the parts list. That took longer (10 minutes!) than putting the thing together, lol. Gotta love Speedway Motors!
