New guy here- just took my PP2 out to Thunderbolt after a 2 year hiatus from the track. Tbolt has had a repave since I last took my 135i on 200tw and 400whp. They say the new pavement is worth 2 seconds, and that is exactly how much quicker...
I was able to install mine just fine with the car on the ground. Maybe a little awkward, but it's just securing a few bolts in existing holes. As for the jacking rails themselves, I may be in the minority here but I found them to be more...
Just wondering if you have driven the car the way it is currently setup? It often seems folks go a little crazy on getting a bunch of stuff done before they ever get much track time. I would install what you have already, get a good track...

How do you measure tire temp while the car is moving? Are there infrared temp sensors that are cheap enough for amateurs and weekend warriors to afford? (see full post)
There is a grain of truth in there. You don't want to wait and give them time to cool. Come off the track hot (no cool down lap) and have someone waiting at track exit with the temperature probe and pressure gauge. Stop and check the tires as... (see full post)
Even stock GT500s pull timing under hot conditions with repetitive hot lapping...but they manage it super well and it's hard to notice. And they never hit a thermal runaway where you need to back off to cool it back down. Ford did an incredible...

OK i got a question. So checking front tires temps seems like good way to monitor tires. I thought looking at them would work but did not really give me feedback till it was too late maybe. I bought the long acre temp probe my question is what is... (see full post)
I got the zl1 pads set screw on pinch welds one each corner. Then use floor jack with pinch weld adapter lift in middle of door put 2 jack stands on jack pads. Can go do the other side and car is fully up on stands. Did this at track several... (see full post)
I’m new to the s197 but this thread pointed me to ZL1’s frame rail pads & I’m happy w them so far. I drive my ‘08 up on these $30/pr. 3” high short ramps & can then get my floor jack under the front crossmember & rear diff to lift it onto jackstands. (see full post)
