I think IMSA only allows us to run 3.5, and we'd like to get more if we could, you'll need plates and maybe cutting the shock tower. The 275 tire is way too small for these cars, try to get some 305s on it if you can (see full post)
Yes, IMO, the Brembo 14 inch Boss302 style are a relatively inexpensive race proven brake system. With regards to the suspension system, cutting the shock towers and camber plates are a must, Steeda is not my favorite, I'm more of a Ford... (see full post)
Guys just little curious what you all think. I have a mostly stock 2014 GT and ordered the SVE 15 inch brake kit. Thinking I might had gone a little over board on that and maybe money could be spent in a better place ? A buddy on the site here...
Know it's an old thread can start a new one if needed. Did a coyote swap from a donor 2013 in to a 2009. Its a dedicated track/autocross car that i use mostly for scca cp class. I have installed and wired all the 2013 abs components (module... (see full post)
I wrote several DIY alignment articles over at 6g. They can be found at my build log, which contains many links to other tech tips. Here is my technique to easily and accurately switch between street and track settings... (see full post)
Made some progress. Radium fuel hanger and new AEM pump is in tank. Fuel filter is mounted under car and line is fabbed up from filter to tank. I made a bad bend on the front line and did not have a big enough piece to make another one... (see full post)
Bill, I would order them pre bedded. But after much discussion with Danny about my street / track car at that time. He was the one that advised me to go with the 12/10 combo on the track and swap out to the RS-1 for street. I never have any... (see full post)
That's kind of cool about the oil cooler, though, just staying around the thermostat setting. Talk about predictability. No worries about the oil temperature rising the longer you stay on track. That is one odd looking radiator. Was there a... (see full post)
The s550 cars have a rubber bushing there. My guess is that they have not upgraded it on the s650, so will you just have to check by pulling a wheel. Sorry, not that helpful.
If you decide to install a bearing there, research the width of the... (see full post)
BackinBlack,
Hello, I was wondering if I could pick your brain on your Coyote engine swap. Specifically about body harnesses between the 2013-14 v6 and v8 cars.
Let me know if you'd be willing to answer a question or two.
Thanks
Alan... (see full post)
The Coyote doesn't have the same flow issue, does it? The wire harness from wire everything should fix the rest (I got the full one with relays). I also grabbed a GT500 fan for "while I am in there"....all of which is overkill for my bone stock... (see full post)
Your pace just wasn’t quick enough is my guess. I was running 2 minute laps in my ND2 Miata with just wheels and tires. I’d imagine the dark horse in factory trim is every bit of a sub-1:50 car and at that pace you’d be going through pad much... (see full post)
Sorry - I apparently ADHD'd this and completely forgot about it or missed it.It's a nascar radiator I bought off of eBay and modified. I believe it came off a car of tomorrow (IIRC, 2011 cup car).During the tests referenced above, I did run... (see full post)
I’m surprised no one mentioned the shifter as being a weak point on the Boss. The assembly is bolted to the car not the transmission. Most folks, me included, put in a MGW shifter. (see full post)
It's only money. The cats can be replaced with cats meant for the kind of horsepower you are pushing. They are expensive. I am not talking about marketing "high flow" nonsense. Get cats rated for the actual horsepower. Your cats are rated... (see full post)
