MGW install with trans out

I had to drop my transmission in order to change the crank positioning sensor. Is it possible to install the MGW shifter while it’s on the floor or do I have to install it after the transmission is back in the car?

You can but when reinstalling the trans it will require you to lower the k member to rotate the trans when reinstalling. In my opinion with the latest Gen Race Specs it is simpler to install shifter last.

So if I install the shifter last I don’t have to lower the K member? I believe that’s what you’re saying and if so that’s what I’ll do.

I installed mine at the same time I installed a CF driveshaft. With the driveshaft out it's a real easy install.

I already installed the MGW shifter and followed the Video. I just had to remove it when I removed the transmission. It will be easier this time because the carbon fiber driveshaft is also off the car.
