It takes time but that's about all, I had to re-shim the pinion because it had compressed. Back lash takes time, I hit 12 thou, range is 8-12. just take your time and keep checking your pattern.

Took it on the twisties today, Much better than a Tru-Trac.

Tonight, I replaced my screw in ball joints, Rotor rings and front Pads. Then softened up the front sway bar. Button Willow here I come.

Installed ARH 1-7/8 longtubes/xpipe and tuned her. Made 552 to the wheels with a conserv tune...she’s loud

Finished the Install of my T2-R and 3.31 gears 2 days ago and drove it around to see how it would behave after the install. I like the new gear ratio a lot more compared to the 3.73 that I had and the car feels way better getting onto the gas. Won't know the true difference until my next outing in a month.

I think that's the first time I've heard of someone in a 3v going down to a 3.31.

You're right....My buddy with his '10 Camaro SS had 331 gears and liked my Boss with the 373's much better.....me too!

Spec Iron rule set calls for 3.31 gear set and optionally the T2-R or Boss Torsen.

Finally decided to get the Cobra Jet swap started. I have a bit till a tuning date, but got antsy. Just need to get the harness re-pinned, and also bought everything to go to a Peterson Catch can/breather on the way.

Last night I drained the diff and tranny fluid to get ready for the MPH Mustang Roundup.
Then this morning, while looking at my notes for refill quantities, I realized I already changed those fluids this spring (and have not done a track event yet).
Doh, about $100 of fluid wasted.

New Fluids are ALWAYS good fluids........not wasted, but invested......I'm sure you'll remember next tyme!

yep, made a table in my word doc- a row for each year and and columns for diff, tranny, brake fluid. Fill in the date when completed.
Got the diff (Miller Oils) and tranny (Redline MTL) last nite. Flushed brake fluid today with ATE TYP200.

Tried these Advan AD052 295/35/18s on 18x12s. I was a little worried it'd be too stretched but tire looks happy on there. Looking forward to trying them out
