Alright.................What's the best meal of the New Year gonna be?????????? If I was cooking, I'd be having my world famous Lasagna or eggplant parm with salad and garlic bread.........Hon would make her famous curried shrimp or pepper steak with all the goodies................................................Prime rib is hard to beat, but hard to find.................
 
I usually put a good squirt of Siracha in when I make it. I cook the chick peas in chicken stock with onions and extra garlic. I know it is supposed to be vegetarian but I am not so I do what tastes good. I find most vegetarian dishes are better with a little animal protein. 😋
 
A cheap store bought ham. A homemade maple syrup, brown sugar, orange zest, rosemary, and black pepper glaze. A few hours on the smoker is simple and transformational.

The smoked ham bone is the backbone (pun intended) of a nice homemade split pea soup.

I grilled a steak or two in the winter cold way back when................on my Habachi........I'm dating myself here , but that's OK The steaks came out great...I used aluminum foil to cover them to help cook them since Habachis have no l;id.............modern day cave man cookin at its best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......1737644177943.jpeg
