Today is Memorial Day.....A day to honor those who gave their lives to serve our country and never came back home ............alive,,,,,,,,,,,,,When I was a lot younger this Holiday was just a day off from school/work, a cookout in the backyard and a parade in town......... but as I grew older I realized Memorial Day was much more than that,,,,,,,,When I saw all the flags at Arlington Cemetery that's when it hit me as to what this Holiday truly means..........Enjoy your holiday as you see fit but please remember those who made that possible

Today's Birthdays 5/28/2025.............Former N.Y.C. Mayor Rudolph Juliani is 81, Singer Gladys Knight is 81....the Pips are on their own....Former CCR front man John Fogerty is 80......suddenly I don't feel so old or maybe the opposite will sink in later................Here's one for birthday boy John......

For all those John Wick fans out there, #5 is coming out June 6...........I enjoyed the first 2 films because they co-starred a 1969 Boss 429,,,,the following 2 not so much. # 5 has the last film appearance by Lance Reddick, who played Charon, The Continental's Front desk man............He died in 2023....R.I.P...........

I took the Boss out on this beautiful summer-like day for some exercise. I took my favorite RTE 8/ Naugatuck ride......a little more traffic than usual and I hit a small construction zone back-up on the way back, but, all in all a nice ride. I had 99.1 WPLR on and they played a song I haven't heard in years and was one of my favorites back then..........needless to say I played it as loud as my stock sound system would let me......."A million poppies gonna make you sleep, but there's just one rose that knows your name"........
