Boss Air Filter Options

Are you going to run the stock paper filter or replace it with a drop in unit like a K&N? What are the race teams running in their cars? Here's some info on the K&N for the GT. Does the Boss use the same filter as the GT?

I'll run a K&N. But I checked their web site recently and only found an oil filter available so far for the Boss. Is the air filter the same for a Boss as a 5.0 GT?

Well what do you know...now K&N lists an air filter for the Boss:

Same part number as the GT

Is the stock air filter on the Boss the standard paper filter for all V8 Mustangs?

I am thining about puting an AirRaid CAI on mine, just haven't pulled the triger yet. It has an option for a non-oiled filter called SynthaMax.

Been wondering when this would come up, waiting to see some results. Unless there is a big gain I will stick with what is there now.

I don't specifically expect a gain in HP but that wouldn't hurt. Just wondering if it flows better and if the race teams run them.
